What is Green Cleaning?

A green cleaning program is one that combines environmentally preferred products with good sound cleaning procedures, training and expertise to create an effective and safe cleaning program.

What is Code:Green?

Code:Green is a collaboration and partnership between MD Stetson and its green-committed end-user customers.

Code:Green encompasses all aspects of the cleaning process and seeks to have a positive effect on the health of building occupants and cleaning personnel, while also striving to minimize any negative effects on the environment

Code:Green is ongoing support from MD Stetson that consists of a combination of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP�s) to assure proper cleaning procedures and includes worker safety, worker training, building occupant recycling programs, preventative maintenance, and internal and external communication of cleaning policy.

Code:Green supplies cleaning chemicals, equipment, and accessories required to perform the green cleaning function.

Code:Green promotes best practices and is continually seeking improvements by providing sustainable cleaning solutions focused on protecting the public health without harming the environment.

Code:Green identifies third party certifications whenever available to substantiate environmentally preferable claims (such as Green Seal, EPA DfE, EcoLogo, SCS Certified (Green Cross), Carpet & Rug Institute Green Label, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), etc.) and includes the demonstrated knowledge of 2 OSHA authorized trainers and one ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard Certified (CIMS) Professional employed by MD Stetson.
